This is one of my favorite songs from Lady Day--everything about it is just PERFECT! It indeed is a shame that she didn't record a studio version and this reminds me of another song from hers that is also one of my favorites. The song is called "Everything Happens To Me" and I heard a version that she did in rehearsal but the version that she recorded was different from the ones at the rehearsal.

  • this song is just stunning; i was hooked the moment i heard it! it's a shame lady didn't do a studio version of it and keep it in her repertoire along with her other standards but nevertheless i'm glad that this live version with red norvo's band is around.

  • Bellisima, muchas gracias.

    !Viva Billie!
