  • Calling the fire department to show the almighty power of SNAP to make my life a mess is what I learned. Thanks Mary Grant for taking my confidence back to the day after the molestation - now there no one left for me to trust. You bastards.

  • I am sorry to hear that was your experience. Mine was quite the opposite. I found everyone involved to be quite caring and truly devoted to the cause of helping survivors heal, and find their voice. As far as getting a lawyer SNAP has nothing to do with that. Nor did they ever ask me about or show any interest in my sexual orientation. I just found a place where I could talk about my abuse without worry, a place where I was no longer alone. I hope you can find this place someday too.

  • I think they're about getting government money and not really helping those who don't advance their cause, deswpite my molester having been caught with kiddie porn in 2003 and dying the next year... no lawyer will touch my case. I was tormented at Loyola Marymount University by the priest who molested me as well in 1981. The pain is still strong and SNAP could give a fuck.

  • Her name was Mary Grant...

  • I went to one meeting and they said they'd help me find an attorney to sue LMU until they found out I was not only gay but a drag queen. They never return my calls, but when I called one of them to say basically screw off, I should take a handful of pills, they had paramedics at my house within half an hour! Now I'm afraid to reach out to anyone because of this it was embarrassing. But they never cared to listen. Next time, I don't reach out.

  • If SNAP is all about healing people from sexual abuse from clergy, they should also start helping $ healing women who have had abortions, which is the ultimate child abuse. I am talking babies torn apart limb from limb. Your zeal could be a big help.

  • Great video. Barb for sure is the nuts and bolts of SNAP.

  • This story is heartfelt and genuine showing how people against adversity can overcome such a horrible experience in their past.

I really hope you continue making and sharing videos like these as you truly are making a difference(just like Barbara Dorris).

  • Barb Doris, Is one Lady that never ask for thanks, she just does so very much for everyone whom she comes into contact with.

God is in her heart and she hurts for all of us who has been abused. There are no words taht can describe her how she cares and continue to reach out to those who have been abused. Thanks Barb We Love You
