@saradomin122 A band director can preach musicality all day to people, but you have to learn how to play your instruments first. In a 7th grade band, you won't have had enough experience to actually make the music sound like what you envision even if, by some miracle of God, your whole non-audition band understands what makes your music enjoyable to listen to. Everyone has to learn musicality for themselves; the director can only guide you in the right direction.

We learn that from day one, if your conducter had a brain he would tech you that

@saradomin122 I'm now a junior in high school... This doesn't matter to me anymore. What I've learned is that you really can't make good music until you stop playing the notes and make it into music, if that makes any sense. Just listen to professional bands play and pay attention to the style, articulation, dynamics, tone, and phrasing. Basically what I'm saying is, listen to how the notes are played, not just what they are.

So what im in 7th grade and we sound awsome

That's great. I don't associate with middle school band any more because it is all a joke. The music is ridiculously easy. And by the way it is spelled offense.

Im in 7th grade and we are playing the same song
no affense but we sound better than u guys =P

Is this a rhetorical statement or something? Yes, I know it sucked, but we were in middle school at the time with all of 2 years of musical experience. And for that I would say it was decent. And I look like a loser? Have you seen yourself in that deodorant video? All I got to say. But I'm giving it a thumbs up for effort.

you guys suck so bad. and you look like a loser

@tsunami1581 I would share it with you, but sadly it has been 4 years since I've played this. It's probably somewhere on the internet.
