Episode 5- Don't cry
Joe: Well thanks Mr.Lovato. *about to leave*
Mr.Lovato: Wait Joe!
Joe: *stops* Yes Mr.Lovato?
Mr.Lovato: Well, I know I gave you a hard time. But I just want to thank you for protecting Demi & being her best friend.
Joe: *smiles* Your welcome.
Mr.Lovato: *sighs* The only reason why I gave you a hard time was because, I just wanted to protect Demi. But I later realized, you were doing the same thing. *smiles*
Joe: *nods*
Mr.Lovato: Well, see you later at the funeral.
Joe: *sighs* You two Mr.Lovato. *smiles*
Mr.Lovato: *waves goodbye*
Joe: *leaves*
@ Joe's house.
Ms.Jonas: *looking* where's my keys?!
Kevin: They're over here! *grabs them & throws them to his mom*
Ms.Jonas: Okay. Everyone in line!
All the jonas kids stand in a line...
Ms.Jonas: *counts* One, two, three! Someone is missing!
Frankie: Joe!
Joe: *comes in & sees everyone dressed in black* Umm..hey.
Ms.Jonas: where have you been Joe?
Joe: Well, I was at De-
Ms.Jonas: *in a hurry* It doesn't matter. Hurry up & get dressed! We might be late for the funeral.
Joe: Okay. *runs upstairs & places Demi's stuff on his bed & gets dressed*
Joe finishes getting dressed & goes downstairs...The Jonas family leaves to the funeral.
Joe's P.O.V.
It took a while to get to the cemetary but we got there. It had been a while since someone died, except for when Mrs.Lovato died, Demi's mom. I remember the day like it was yesterday...
FLASHBACK
When Demi was 10 & Joe was 11...
@ Demi's House
Joe: *knocks on Demi's door*
Mr.Lovato: *opens the door, with tears all over him* oh, hello Joeseph.
Joe: Hello Mr.Lovato. Is Demi okay? I didn't see her at school today?
Mr.Lovato: *wipes away tears* She's in her room. I think you should go see her to comfort her.
Joe: For what? *confused*
Mr.Lovato: *walks away & continues to cry*
Joe: *walks upstairs & knocks on Demi's door* Demi? *hears crying* Demi?
Demi: *doesn't answer*
Joe: *opens Demi's door & sees Demi crying* Demi?
Demi: *cries* Oh hi Joe. *tries to wipe all her tears*
Joe: *sits down next to her* something wrong Demi?
Demi: *cries* Yes.
Joe: What happened then? *puts his arms around Demi*
Demi: *sniffs* My mom.
Joe: What about your mom? *hugs her*
Demi: She's gone, she died. The cancer killed her. *cries harder*
Joe: *frowns* I'm so sorry.
Demi: *hugs joe* I don't want to talk about it. *cries harder*
Joe: *hugs Demi & pats her on the back gently* Don't cry Demi, when you cry, I start to cry. *starts to cry*
Demi: *cries* I'm sorry, It's too hard. *holds Joe tighter*
Joe: *cries*
ENDofFLASHBACK
That day, I could tell was the worst day of Demi's life. Demi's mom, was everything to her, she loved her more than anyone in the world, even me, & I understood. Demi changed that day, she became more shy, quiet & was less confident about herself. She was also on lockdown from her dad, he started to become very strict with her & worst Dallas left Demi to go to college, I don't think she meant to but that was even before their mom died. Demi seemed alone, unless I was with her. I tried my best to make her smile, make her feel happy & protected.
