  • it looks like Nighthawke is the only one that knows whats going on

  • again since i was the person who worked on this engine we had a malfunctioning dump valve and malfunctioning fuel nozzle which caused fuel to pool at the bottom of the combustion camber. once the engine started its threw the fuel out the back and ignited it. made it look like an afterburner but it not. the engine had a screen in front of the intake to prevent foreign object ingestion. besides the engine is old and just above idle not enough suction to pull a human in to the intake

  • this is normal....

    the engine dont blow,

    just burn fuel...

    daaaaaaaaaaaa..

    all jet engine do this...

    .......nothing to say..........

  • question did u work on this engine?????????? no right.......exactly shut up we had a malfuctioning dump valve ... a dump valve prevents that flame out daaaaaaaaa

  • What's the dump valve (I know woefully little about jet engines...)

  • its a valve in in the burner section that dumps out any excess fuel that built up at the bottom of the burner can

  • I can't belive that guy ran in front of a running engine. Could have been mince meat out the other end.

  • did that guy just run directly infront of a running jet engine?

  • ok dude, you ran right in front of a running jet engine, ....gumbo anyone?

  • That guy... ran infront...

Is the air intake not in the conventional spot?

  • @Timmieman81 its just barely getting to idle and it VERY likely has a metal screen to prevent such accidents

  • That's a hot start of an engine, perfectly safe on the engine if the EGT's don't get too high. This is the result if excess fuel has pooled inside the burner cans and they kick the igniter. The dump valve then cycles, causing the excess fuel to be purged, making for a big flame show. Mostly harmless, save for the turkeys too close the exhaust, then they get their hair burnt to a crisp.

  • @avmech8420 daaaaaaaa!

  • nothing special... nothing unusual...

  • You know what I hate? Sideways videos. Pain in the ass.

  • how did he not get sucked into the intake?
