hey im new to bass guitar i've played the regular guitar but how do you know what kind of gauge your strings are

@guitarfreak781229 If you have any way of measuring in millimeters, you check the thickest one. Usually the others match the biggest one. Then go online and look up the thickest gauge to determine the rest of the set.

I really don't think i could have tuned my bass without listening to your "tutorial" or "lesson", as i am far to stupid to simply tune along with notes being played. Maybe one day i can go to one of your shows and you can play me twinkle twinkle little star and as an encore you can play (one of my favorites) "CGCF".
