Manchester Climate Action and Plane Stupid, including a green councillor, locked on across the entrance to the domestic flight terminal at Manchester airport. Manchester Airport told newspapers that we should have a proper mature, serious deabte rather than doing direct action all the time. So Plane Stupid's Robbie Gillett challenged them to a public debate, an offer they couldn't really refuse, and then they totally lost the argument. the majority of domestic flights from MAN are operate by Flybe on environmentally friendly brand new Dash8-Q400 aircraft, there are only BA and BMI who operate larger aircraft but still greener aircraft!
