My first attempt at using compressed air to help seperate the hide from the carcass. It worked well, I plan on doing it every time now. I know some people might be offended, but that's not the intent. This was a responsible harvest and a good thing to do.

  • I'm guessing this only works if you trap them ? I would assume if you shot a hole in them the air will leak right out ?

  • @SSduckclub It might leak when it gets to that spot, but if you start from both ends you should be good. This one was shot in the head (opposite side of the head from what is seen on the video).

  • all the vids that say "air skinning a coyote" just show blowing him up and then it stops. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE WHOLE SKINNING PROCESS PLEASE!

  • @King9419 Yea.. That was the plan this day but the battery died or ran out of memory on the camera or something. I'll try to get one up this season.

  • Did it help at all with the tail?

  • @banata21 No it didn't.. The only thing I've found that helps with the tail is a tail stripper. I'll try to show one in a video. Just skin down the tail a little bit and then put a tail stripper of some sort on it. You can also use a pair of pliers if they are big enough to bite down around the tail enough so it's flush against the flesh then just hold the base of the tail with one hand, and pull down on the pliers. Pull on the tail stripper much like you would a pull start cord.

  • Excellent video of a simple, cost effective method of skinning an animal. Good closing message. I respect every hunter who wishes to be a good stewart. Coyote populations ARE out of control, despite massive hunting. As for thier "prey are being over-predated"; various small game yes, but if you mean deer, than no.... deer populations are kept unsustainably high. The natural order no longer exsists. Even with expensive "toys" men wil never do the job wolves and other predators did for free.

  • hahahahaha holy shit

  • would anyone want to let go of their hide????????????

  • that was awsome! i have never seen anyone do that befor. i skinned a coon a couple of months ago.. took forever. i am doing this next time! nice video ,very helpfull!

  • @gymkhanadog What would happen if somebody did it to me? I'm not sure... I would love to know though. I hope no'one tries it on me or a wild coyote I can assure you that.

  • @CloudysGuitarChannel The thought of that is disturbing as is the fact that someone publicly voiced their curiosity about it...

What do you think would happen if someone separated your skin from your body, left it hanging on you and then told you to go about your daily business?

  • I wonder what would happen if you do it to a live animal then let it go?

  • wounder what coyote taste like

  • Haha it looked like a big baloon

  • Should have used helum, would have made your son the coolest baloon in the world! Siriously though, thats neat, I'll half to try that. Would have never thought to air skin an animal. lol
