Short demonstration of Gameloft's Modern Combat($4.99) on the Nokia N900 running Android 2.2 with GPU Acceleration. Android 2.2 is brought to the N900 by the great coders of The NITDroid V2 project.

The N900 is able to play these graphically intense games, at full speed with full sound, even through a community developed software package. Other games with touch screen control can be played as they would normally be played on a compatible GPU accelerated Android device. Hopefully Accelerometer gameplay will be added in a future update to NITDroid.

Here is the Gameloft site that allows you to download demo APKs.

All you do is select your country and click Motorola Droid x as your phone and put in your phone number. Gameloft will send you a text message with the download link.

  • Cool

Can you use keyboard for movement?

  • @dragonny4master I never tried to use the keyboard and I didn't see keyboard settings in the menu when playing. Maybe someone who still has the game installed can assist with your question.

  • is there multitouch?

  • @zawette No, there isn't multitouch for the N900.

  • does this work in n9?

  • @lceus you know nothing about smartphones...just because iphones sell more does it mean its better? NO is gaming the only thing people look for? NO i repeat...this phone was never meant to run android in the first place, now it does and very well my friend! try to install the android os in your iphone and tell me how it went...

  • @xcrazyon3x This is just awful man, it doesn't even support multi-touch. Why support such companies that release software AND hardware that would still be in BETA using Apple's standards. This is why people buy Apple devices, they can be sure of quality and ease of use.

Defending such products is a lost cause and would mean you would be lying to me, everyone and yourself.

  • @lceus ignorant people just piss me off...this is a version of android for the nokia n900 called nitdroid...theres already newest versions, so theres no lag whatsoever... the os was never meant to run that well on a phone it wasnt designed for it

  • @lceus It's not android, it's the phone that didn't even support android in the beginning.

  • my god android lags.
