@reinefraisichou Thamks! I'm just seeing your response. I appreciate your sharing that information. It's interesting how there are such similar customs worldwide.
The Internet is great. You wrote less than 1/2 hour ago probably around the world from me, and I am answering you back in that time because I happened to be on the Interent at the same time.
@Azizip17 These grass is called Raphia and its a traditional clothes especially in téké ethnic. Make up and dance called(empire) are traditionally téké ethnic too. She sing in 3 languages but the principal are (téké,obamba). In the song she talk about a woman who ask at his man to tell her what she has done to him.Cuz he's gone and left her for others women. Now she said that she's just a woman to sleep with (tchuè tôlô = lets go to sleep). About that she said that she has a bad carma, bad luck.
Thanks for sharing this video! I know nothing about Gabon and Gabonese culture. With all due respect I ask, Is wearing grass skirts like shown in this video traditional to Gabon? The skirts & the dancing remind me of Polynesian & Melanesian customs. Also, is the line makeup on the face traditional in Gabonese culture? This reminds me of the Maoris of New Zealand. Also, what is the song about & what language is this? Thanks again. I mean no disrespect by my questions.
@Azizip17 You're welcome and my pleasure.
