Bob Yousefian Makes Case Against Voting Ordinance

Glendale City Council member Bob Yousefian discusses the proposed voting ordinance at a 1/22/08 meeting. Yousefian is in opposition to an ordinance that would prevent campaign offices and organizations from handling absentee ballot applications and thus limit groups from providing language assistance or help in making sure absentee ballots are submitted entirely and in a timely manner to the Glendale City Clerk's office. Yousefian believes the measure is a ploy by non Armenian council members to reduce participation by Armenian Americans in elections.
