The Palms - Organ Solo with Strings †

The Palms - Les Rameaux by Jean-Baptiste Faure. This is a familiar Sacred Song usually sung on Palm Sunday. I am using some Light Strings and Choir Aahs on the Organ. This is a very basic solo arrangement and I am improvising a little. I like to play this one a little slower than usually performed.

Thank you, Lance, for posting this particular hymn. We used to sing this in church as the culmination of the Palm Sunday service every year. It is one of my mother's favourites. Now that she is homebound, I was able to bring my laptop and headphones over and play this for her. She cried. Thanks ever so much for making her day. God bless you, and the work that you do!

This is one song that has rang through the organ speakers at church for the last 30 plus years. Our previous/honorary organist started that tradition. It's been my privilege to carry on that tradition. Only we've always used Ethel Smith's arrangement piano/organ duet of "The Palms." I love this arrangement you've shared with us!
