Thank you so much! I have been putting off taking it but I was about to try. Thank you for sharing your experience. I've had MS 5 yrs. almost 6 and just starting to have walking problems. I think I'll wait. Any further information let me know. All I currently take is Copaxone. Good luck to you and God bless you.
I had a very similar experience. I had painful side effects-lower back aches and increased neuropathy so I quit using Ampyra. My walking is worse and I am much weaker. When I started it, I was walking primarily with a cane. After quitting Ampyra I now depend on a walker. I agree with you when you encourage others to utilize physical therapy or other healthy choices. When I considered using this drug, I only focused on the positive outcomes -everyone should consider the negative outcomes as well.
Thank you for your honesty about Ampyra. Whew! I feel like I really dodged a bullet this time. Yours isn't the only opinion I'm relying on; I've also did my research and decided it's not right for me. Ergo: I'll just be a faster "drunk" (balance issues) and it wouldn't do anything about my drop-foot. Back to the brace and physical therapy *sigh*
I'm on Gyllenia which is great. No injections anymore really helped mentally. I've been on ampyra about 4-5months and I see what your saying. I walk with more strength but more pain and no balance. I also feel worn down by hour 9. Also headaches which started about two weeks ago. I'm gonna stick with it awhile but may give it up.!!!
Ampyra, caused me to have a pulminary emboylisim,in my left lung , where as Ampyra also caused several urinary tract infection's,where as I had strength on my left side I am worse now,I had a relapse in my M.s,wish I had never tried Ampyra,The Company said they were deeply sorry :/ ,For the people it has help'd That is truley a Blessing...,but the FDA will aprove just about anything nowaday's,
Thanks for sharing; and I certainly don't trust these FDA approved drugs at all. Anyhow, what you need to do the latest procedure called "CCSVI" to treat your MS. To acquaint yourself with it, look up "CCSVI before and after" here on you tube. It will shock you. Montel Williams got “CCSVI” done, and he's doing great. You can also search Dr. Zamboni, who discovered the treatment of "CCSVI." Anyone has any questions, drop me a line.
Thanks for the video, I just started today and I am just checking all the videos on Ampyra...Hope you find the right meds that work for you!! But you look in pretty good shape!

Hi there. I'm happy for you. did you get any support for getting this medicine?
It seems you are happy with Ampyra.
But the bad thing for me is it's not available in Dubai.
Regards.
Nader.
