Cecilio's Electric Silent Violin test.
This solid body electric violin has a base sound comparable with my Zeta Jazz Fusion violin which cost me 30 times more 10 years ago. It is easy to play and all the parts are in good working condition. Nice Ebony pegs and tailpiece with mother of pearl inlay. The violin is attractive and gives the impression of a fiddle that costs much more money. The violin includes features that you wouldn't expect to find on such a low priced instrument. The case looks really nice but the cloth lining ripped easily when I separated the velcro neck holder.

  • Do you have to have a PA system? Or can i just plug in headphones and listen to myself play.

  • @MangaColosseum - Headphones only is fine.

  • Do you think a electric/acoustic violin would be better? whats the color of this violin?

  • @tsukiomilover - Electric acoustic is better if you want a real violin sound that is amplified. This one is black :-)

  • i play the violin, but never an electric violin, Is it harder to play electric? And would this one be recommended for beginners?

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover - Some people even think that it is easier. I think it's about the same but not as sensitive. You need extra equipment to get better sound such as an effect box and amplifier. You can do without the effect box but it gives so much better sound. Reverb and Chorus do so much.

  • Im curious about the other styles, how would the shoulder rest fit on them? do you need a special one?

  • @1stfiddlerman Great! Thanks so much.

  • Subscribed. :)

I was wondering if you could do a short video on how this sounds without an amp? I know it's not going to be loud or anything, but I live with my grandpa, and don't want to bother him when I'm practicing. I don't own a violin yet, but I'm going to be getting one this month. I was leaning towards electric cause then i can play without bothering anyone as long as i don/t plug it in right?

  • @1stfiddlerman Thank you for clearing that up for me :)
