If the company's non-discrimination policy covers gender expression, which would protect this. Also, there is no federal law protecting LGBT people from job discrimination in the private sector.

For those saying this isn't the same as being discriminating against for color or sexual orientation...actually, yes it is. It really REALLY is. Those that are saying that seem to not be looking at the big picture. The fact is, women can grow their hair out with no problems, men can't. The situation in the case is the length of the hair, however, the main fact is that, if men were to switch their gender while growing their hair, it would no longer be a problem. We did not CHOOSE to be male.
