Original, unusual and intriguing, "Bloomin' Clever Boxes" are individually hand-crafted in the UK by Temima Crafts, from sustainably sourced hardwoods.
Using an intricate band-saw technique, their interlocking construction adds a new dimension to wooden box making.
An ideal gift for jewellery or trinkets, they are sold at major craft fairs throughout the UK
@WOODCRAFTER1966 Thanks for your comments. No plans I'm afraid since I am self taught and spend my time making the boxes rather than writing about making them.

I own and operate a custom cabinet shop and must say that`s some funny shit, and the box was excellent, you are an awesome craftsman, not trying to steal anything from ya but would you have a step by step guide or something on how you constructed this box, it is totally amazing

Q's
1) In the beginning you were sanding CROSS GRAIN, was that just for the ease of running it across the belt sander?
2) What is the width and tooth count on of your blade?

Thanks for this.
I didn't think my boxes would elicit a poetic response. Must be the music.
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you.

Hi,
The "secret", if there is one is in the blade guide which prevents a degree of lateral movement. My understanding is that Scheppach have stopped making them!
Sorry about your crap day. I have plenty of those when nothing goes right. I find coming in from the workshop and shouting at my wife helps a bit.

Hi,
Thanks for this. The construction method is as old as the hills. I like to think, though, that what I am doing inside is unique to me. The box on the vid, with the semi-circular key, is certainly one of my best sellers. A number of people have ordered a box, "Just like the one on the video!" The technique you comment on is, by the way, very simple but i have had to discard a small forest of wood to get it "right". Not that i am ever satisfied that anything I do is "right"

No problems with the cyano so far. Nobody has come back to me and said their box has fallen apart. Couldn't do what I do without cyano.
Thanks for the Posting.
