Day 6 - Mourenx to Pau
Today we wore our South African flag kit and the group split up into 6 different rides, with most intercepting the tour. For the climbers Col du Solour and Col d'Aubisque was on the menu. Bernie also broke-in his brand new new triple chain-ring bike. It was our last night at the hotel and we gave special thanks to the proprietor who catered and hosted us with virtually no staff, as their peak is during the skiing season. The Prick du Jour was awarded to Alexandra Ritchie for her stopping at every single toilet on the ride. We debated the naming convention of the jersey as now a woman was the recipient. This was compounded by the very charming French girl Emily working at the hotel asking Alexandra what 'prick' meant. We also discovered a method of keeping John Sturgeon quiet with the help of insulation tape. It was a great day all round and just past the half way point of our trip.
