Learn the difference between a faux stained glass window panel for your cabinet door glass insert project and a true decorative leaded art glass window for cabinet doors. The False leaded art glass window incorporates stickers glue and tape. The true art glass incorporates textured art glass, lead came and integrated bevels, no glue or tape or stickers. Ask your selected decorative glass company of choice which type of glass construction they practice. Compare apples to apples and stickers to stickers.

  • i'm currently learning how to design stained glass and watching this was horrifying to see that this is not an art form. learn how to do it the right way. its much more rich that way. theraputic to make too.

  • I agree. I posted this video to show the faux method which seems to be fooling many people. Consumers think they are purchasing real "Stained Glass, Art Glass, Beveled Glass, Leaded Glass" when in reality they are purchasing a sheet of clear glass which has a variety of stickers, tapes, paints and glues attached.

In the end people have a product that is not real Leaded Art Stained Glass. It lacks luster, textured and the natural radiant beauty that comes from light passing through glass.

  • Can faux stained glass windows be made from regular acrylic paint?

  • I am not certain. I think you would need to use a paint that is for glass and will stand up to the constant sunlight without bleaching.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! Yesterday I went looking for a company which could produce stained glass and I was intrigued by what I found. When I looked at their work it didn't seem like real stained glass, nor did it look painted either, they didn't want to tell me what technique they used but here it is!

  • beauty crystal ;-)
