I miss the running toward the screen. That was like the best part about the ending!

i don't think val kilmer was a bad batman. if he was 30 years old today he would've been batman in christoper nolan's batman and everyone would go crazy for him too. in forever he played this pretty serious without the wink and laugh in his performance but everything and everyone around him was sooo fucking goofy that it didnt help his performance at all.

forever wasn't that bad. not exactly what i call batman, but it was fun and funny, nothing more. jim carrey was awesome and i kilmer's batman was ok, but was corny had a lisp and breathed too heavily
when robin showed up with his million $ nipple costume it was officially a comedy. he also automatically knows how to operate the boat, and even becomes a liability instead of a help. the whole final confrontation of the movie was totally pointless except for jim carrey's funny dialogue

@dduval59 oh shut up, conroy's intel briefing-esque line delivery is not ahead of keaton. he does the batman voice justice but he is nowhere near keaton's cool, dark calculating voice in any way

@stluee1 what bitch?! jim carrey stole the movie!

Batman Forever was a very decent Batman film and quite a bit more enjoyable than the depressing, disturbing Burtonish spectacle that was 'Batman Returns'. The excellent novelisation of this movie actually explores some pretty deep themes about duality, which suggest that the actual film COULD have been REALLY good.
After rewatching Batman Forever, I can honestly say that this movie really is not that bad. Val Kilmer did a good job getting into Bruce Wayne's sad mindset. And Chris O'Donnel did a good Robin. I know he was Dick Grayson but I felt some Jason Todd in there, too. The Batcave and Batman's gadgets were well represented. Honestly the only real problem with this film was that the villains (Jim Carrey especially) were too overthetop.
