  • The place I rent aircraft from, have a Diamond... How does the Diamond compare to landing a Cessna 172?

  • The diamond is more stable and can go lower airspeed than the Cesna, Touchdown is more soft - If you know how to do.

  • Ooh a turbodiesel single... the future of GA. Of course the Germans build it. Oh wait, Austrians...whatever :p

  • Austrians build, Germans fly....

  • I have about 1000 hours in light Cessnas and about 300 in Diamonds. Like Cessnas better.. had bird strike in a Katana and it took almost a half of wing off.

  • Interesting.. America helps half the world, then the world turns back and hates us for it. Should have stayed under you old dictators, I am sure your GA would have been very well developed and affortable :)

  • ....since when? Diamonds float less and land flatter which usually means firmer landings than a 172. Skyhawks land at a very high AOA and are held off nose high for longer in the flare. Either way seems like the 'softness' of the touchdown in any aircraft is dependent on how well the landing is executed, not aircraft type. Both touch down pretty close to 65 knots and they're both excellent training aircraft, just T-Tail vs conventional and hi vs low wing with similar horsepower availability.

  • @tubeyou443. Are Americans Obese? Americans look just like Europeans, jackass--- except we bathe and go to the dentist.

  • @netscion. They are built in London, Ontario Canada.

  • why do I get the impression that space aliens are going to jump the crew at any moment

  • @Videojunk714 I'm a private pilot, currently working on instrument rating in the DA40 and the Skyhawk 172(Both G1000_. I have to say the opposite. Skyhawk more stable and requires less precision in the landing. DA40 less stable approaches, but sure does land nice if you know what your doing. If you don't Just the opposite. To put plainly there is no middle ground. As there is with the 172. Personally Like DA40 more however.

  • haha what an historical cultivated man "the first recognized flight was made by a french montgolfier brothers, in 1783. In 1856 Jean Marie Le bris in his albatros took off and flew tracted by a horse. French again, but there is not only french poeple,

In 1848, John Stringfellow did a succesfull indoor flight "English"

and there is many more before the wright brothers.

All the nations have contributed too the flight, and that why we have modern aircrafts these day's...

  • @Cook1993 You need to show some respect and get the facts straight. You are from a generation where you think that you matter but really you don't. Get your facts straight and get your head out of your obese American ass before you denote my country kid.

  • @Cook1993 Just for the record if it wasn't for us Canadians flying would not be anywhere near where it is today you ingrate.
