THE MEETING

(Anderson / Howe / Wakeman / Bruford)

Surely I could tell
When I sleep tonight
A dream will call
And raise it's head in majesty
Dividing all my energy
To the meeting of your love

Where from whence it came
Like a singer searching for a song
I try to reach where you belong
As I will be the song for you
I will be your servant child

No, oh no
I cannot be deceived
No, oh no
There's something
That I feel
There's something that I feel inside

Surely I could tell
If you ask me Lord
To board the train

My life my love would be the same
As I will be the one for you
In the meeting of your love
In the meeting of your love

  • Not just some of the best music from the YES family--but some of the best melody in the history of the world!! I played "The Meeting" for my neighbor-- an elderly lady named Irene. She couldn't believe the beauty!! So she played this song every night for the rest of her life!!

  • its not a realist song but surrealist song

  • If this song does not bring tears to your eyes....check your pulse

  • Dedicating this to Stephanie Nicks..I know this is not a dedication box,...Jon Anderson says everything and Rick Wakeman plays everything...and not everyone like Stevie..

yet this song is dedicated to all loving hearts ..I love You

  • Jon Bon Jovi would wear that jacket if he played Vegas

  • YES

  • This Album has always stood out as one of the best ever by ANYBODY!

  • Beautiful Song!

  • @dolfinpt Jon is so human, LOL. He forgot the lyrics of The Gates Of Delurium during a Yes concert in the Hollywood Bowl, Chris walked to him to whisper in his ear and stopped the song. You should have seen Steve's face. PRICELESS!

  • THIS SONG RUINED OUR MEETING. IT MADE ME SHIT MYSELF
