nice but aren't fiberoptics rather expensive?
I'd rather have a energy efficient electric light strip - something you could glue onto a surface, with nice bright light.

they state in the video that there is a filter on the solar collector that strips off the IR and UV that are not needed for lighting

its from the sun. the fiber optics are pretty much focusing sunlight, which conatins UV rays, which are invisible so you wouldnt know if it was there or not unless a filter had been placed on the light reciever.

BUT WHAT ABOUT AT NIGHTTIME when most people TURN ON their lights?? During the day when the sun is out, you don't even need the lights on.
