Points 8 and 9 made me cry.. I thought that maybe I wasn't really anorexic because I still ate some (to keep up appearances) and my ribs aren't jutting out or anything (i think i look like a freaking cow flying a blimp no matter what doctors tell me)... I don't want to die... i just don't want to hate me anymore. I don't want others to make fun of me anymore... i want to be beautiful and I've never felt like I am and.... i don't know what to do... I am not good enough.

"It is usually an attempt to control their own world, or to create a space where they set the rules and follow them." Exactly right. I was anorexic at 14 and 15 - now 17, I still find myself setting arbitrary rules for myself about just about anything. I have major issues with control that usually cause me to spiral out of control - it's when I stop worrying and obsessing that it ends up working out. Thanks for highlighting this truth, I know it rings true for me and probably for many others.

Thank you for making this video. I suffered with anorexia at the age of 12 and these myths were constantly thrown in my face. Thank you for speaking up for those who suffer. I'm currently writing a book about the experience and hope to help many people with it. Please connect with me!
I'm so glad some people do get it. Sick of hearing ... Eat a sandwich.

Really good video. I found myself nodding at my computer at certain points lol. I'm so sick of people saying these exact things, or blaming the media, Barbie (really?) and/or models. I didn't see a skinny person on tv one day and decided to start this. I use them these days to inspire, but back then, it had nothing to do with anyone else or what they looked like.
