@gundumauna Well, that's not strictly true. The Celts were a cultue and as such tended toward a certain set of beliefs and ethnicity (it was generally that way back then). They certainly didn't gain their belief system from the Germanics (Odn/Odin/Woden etc...),

@Normhib Actually the Scandinavians are likely descended from the Germanic tribes (so called for their mode of dress - the people of the trousers). In fact most people in Western Europe share blood with many ancient peoples who were forced West by others such as the Hun. In this case however, the Scandinavians as with the Franks, Saxons, Normans etc... wore hose, whereas the Celts wore skirts.

@gundumauna Celtic/Slavic belief systems are ones that are the same.Celts/Slavs honored their ancestors,placing their spirits in nature around them,like in oak trees,wolfs etc.They were closely tied to the land.Norse belief is not tied to the land and is more warrior like,since tribes of the north often deployed on pillaging campaigns,which implicated more nomadic life style.Norse ancestors were placed in Vallhala,concept strange to Celts/Slavs.That's the main difference between the two.

@gundumauna Glad you are not a teacher! Keep your remarks to the music, NOT your level of ignorance. That way no-one else will know and people won't laugh at you anymore. Most Europeans carry Celtic blood whether they like it or not,even the ignorant ones.The Celts Pre-date the Scandinavians (they are descended from celts too BTW ). Enya is probably a purer mix than most of us though. GO Enya! More power to you!
