Hinckley stated that the Lord revealed to Wilford Woodruff to discontinue polygamy and that it is now against the law of God. If anyone reads D&C 132:1-4, these verses is a preface to the Lord's explanation to polygamy (also known as the new and everlasting covenant). The Lord clearly states in verse 4 that anyone who doesn't abide or practice polygamy is damned, and anyone who rejects it can't dwell with God. Sounds like Hinckley is damning himself according to Mormon scripture. Go figure.

Ah the revelation ending polygamy... My only problem with that is if it was a revelation then why did Wilford Woodruff take 3 other wives after the manifesto?
Why was there a need for a 1900 manifest and a 1910 manifesto if it was so clear? Why can I look up GA's of the time in familysearch[dot]org and find they were married plurally? Look up (Brigham H Roberts) BH Roberts last wife was sealed to him plurally in 1900.
Why did Charles Penrose admit freely that he wrote the manifesto?

LDS Scripture STILL supports polygamy. If it had nothing to do with the church they would have removed it:
"And as pertaining to the new and aeverlasting covenant, it was instituted for the fulness of my bglory; and he that receiveth a fulness thereof must and shall abide the law, or he shall be damned, saith the Lord God."

For the truth about mormonism please read "Mormonism Shadow or Reality" by Jerald and Sandra Tanner. Sandra realised her great great grandfather (Brigham Young) was not a prophet after she read his sermons on blood atonement and the blacks. She and her husband led thousands out of the mormon church.

@furious5films You're pretty funny. I just posted the statements of Sarah Pratt. She disagreed. I also posted Lucinda Morgan and Joseph Smith's marriage:: AFTER he was dead. Published in "The Nauvoo Endowment Ceremonies, A Documentary History"., A Pure Mormon Book that even Omiolo wont argue against. Thanks for the smile. I liked ""They Thought it Was a commandment...." @nashaunconwell they didnt practice it. joseph smith was married to emma and only emma. and brigham young followed josephs example because he believed every word that joseph said. they were like brothers and we mormons dont practice polygamy. we are LDS not FLDS. theres a difference!
