Rare footage of a little-known tornado that struck the town of Sadorus in Champaign County, Illinois. The huge twister was said to be as wide as eight football fields at one point, and it traveled over 60 miles. Interestingly, 23 years earlier the Illinois State Water Survey captured the very first "hook-echo" on radar, which was the result of a tornado in Champaign County.
Sorry, not the best quality, but a rarity at any rate.

I was working at Monicals in Tolono that afternoon. The new backroom was just up, no door yet. Wind and debris blew through the back room clear into the dining room. We were in the hallway by the bathrooms praying! Thankfully no-one was hurt.
