I think Papua is a great place but the problems over the border in Papua New Guinea are not good either, they have big crime problems rascals gangs etc. The biggest fear is an independant West Papua may develop the same crime problems and gangs like in PNG. At present in west Papua its not good being banned from protesting, Papuans should be allowed to protest and have better job opportunites. But at least the streets of Jayapura are safe and rule of law exists unlike in Port Moresby PNG.

papua is not indonesia , you are doing the same what chinese are doing with tibet . you just conquer it ; settle your own ehtnic people there , destroy the culture of the inhabitans etc. till they are history.

Indonesia shouldn't even be in West Papua. You have invaded this country and are destroying the culture and environment of the West Papuan people. What a disgrace that governments around the world have sat back and watched this happen.
