many broken dl-4's

let this be a warning to anyone who is thinking of buying a line 6 dl-4 delay modeler. it will break, and probably in the middle of a show! two broke on the second show of a 40-date tour and now i am trying to piece them together as i don't have enough money to buy another one.

My DL4 was plugged into my power supply and then they both stopped working and it doesn't work through power and works for a a second with batteries, i had a look in side to see if any of the components had fried but nothing, i have no idea got any ideas?

Oh god... I feel like I have just watched me in a parallel universe in this video. I have gone through 2 in the past year. Not as bad as you though. Why can't they just get it together and fix these problems?

Or better yet, why can't a decent company make the same looper in a sturdier pedal?

I have one of the first generation ones and I can't even get it to work as a simple delay on/delay off digital delay pedal. I don't get it. Seems like everybody else in the world can do all kinds of cool shit with them and I'm plugging in my 1979 Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man while this gathers dust! Reggie Watts performs miracles with these and I can't even use it for a simple single delay...

I've had 2 newer DL4s (and an M9) die on me too. The only one that still works is the first one I bought 10 years ago.

I've gone through 4 dl-4's in 2 years, all of which has gotten mutiple mods and repairs. Nobody buy line 6 toys! They break spontaneously and without reason. They're awesome for the 10 minutes they last but not the economical buy/
