http://www.cakesmadeeasy.com Find out why professionally decorated cakes are so smooth and crumb free. It's a Crumb Coat that is applied to the cake before the "real" decoration! This seals the cake and keeps the crumbs at bay! This is just one of the many cake decorating secrets we teach you in our step-by-step Video Books from Cake Decorating Made Easy at www.CakesMadeEasy.com!

  • Wow...that was very short. She didn't even get to finish her sentence.

  • She was doing a "crumb coat". The crumbs stick to this coat of icing, then she will place it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. When she adds the top coat of icing and decorations, there wont be any crumbs. It really works, I learned this in Wilton classes.

  • i know they want us to buy the dvd but common....at least finish your sentence!

  • thanks! so much!

  • hey, what happened to the rest? I was like so into it for a minute!!

  • If the crums are glued to the cake they dont interfere with the buttercream or fondant icing that goes on top, so you can give the cake a perfect finish without the crumbs showing up.

  • I love how they don't tell us how it solves problems... cuz, really I don't want "crumbs glued to my cake."
