Explosions of an arms depot that I filmed from my balcony in Maputo, Mozambique. The depot is just outside the city, surrounded by residential and shack communities.
Mate, I was helping at a childrens orphanage in zimpeto, maputo, less than 2km from when these explotions went off, this has brought back some weird memorys.thanks for the post.
Thanks for the great shot of this event. Was intrigued by the sounds at the end. Was the pounding the sound wave hitting your building, and then the sound of breaking glass windows going out? A tripod makes a difference doesn't it. :-)
Se fossem armazéns com alimentos, em vez de paióis, certamente não tinham explodido! (If were food warehouses, instead of powder magazine, of course they hadn't exploded).
Is Mozambique a nice place to visit when it's not exploding? I am thinking of a good place for my first trip to Africa.

If my calculation is right, that last exlposion was around 12km (7,5 miles) away..! And it still shatters glasses!
