  • @margaritasalt1 What a great sentiment! I was watching, "Saratoga" with Jean and Clark Gable the other day, but had to stop watching. She died after shooting some scenes, and the public begged the studios to release the movie with her in it, so they put her double in the rest of the scenes with her face hidden, and a preposterous Harlow imitation voice, and it was just so very sad.

  • @NoirFemme I really am seriously in love with him. I know exactly why so many who were so much younger than he fell in love with him! Think about it! He would be 120 years old this year, and I am only going to be 52! ;-)

  • My all time favorite William Powell

  • I love the photos of him and Jean Harlow. I am sure they are making beautiful scenes together somwhere.

  • This is great. I love him. My favorite! I was always wondering if any of the outfits or pieces from the set of The Thin Man ever survived. Maybe someday they'll come up or be on "hollywood treasures". Hope Johnny Depp does not decide to remake Thin Man. Don't think, even with JD at the helm, it will do WP justice!! No way!

  • The sexiest man who ever drew breath.

  • At Toad Hall in Rockford, Illinois, I found an old scrapbook devoted to William Powell that spanned years late 20's--early 30's. What a fabulous collection of magazine clippings----of course I had to buy it. And it wasn't cheap. But he's sure worth it.

  • You did a great job.

  • Visit the William Powell tribute site, it is terrific. Worthy of the man himself.

  • he had sex appeal with all his clothes on!!! Love his work!
