Never the less, in my curiosity I took it upon myself to take a cruise on the so called glorious Waimarie Steam Boat! It was great! I got to watch the tourists flick their cigarette buts and hiff their coke cans into our river, as though the very water holding them afloat was nothing more than a garbage can! As if the Wanganui River hasnt been through enough problems with all the farm based land rape further up that caused all the excess silt to destroy our estuary, water quality & aquatic life!
