Ghosts 'n' Goblins Arcade Gameplay

This game is REALLY HARD. I mean, it's REALLY HARD. I've got it set to the normal settings and it hands me my own head on a platter. It's a fantastic game, no doubt, but good luck getting anywhere in it!

Why is this not on xbox arcade as a downloadable game ? It would be a top seller surely ?

@MrMattyphil You'd have to ask Capcom. They don't seem averse to offering it for download, considering it's on the Virtual Console.

what's the difference between ghouls and ghosts and ghosts and goblins. they are both included in the capcom classics collection for ps2. is one a sequal?

iseetacos: Ghouls 'n' Ghosts is the sequel to Ghosts 'n' Goblins. There are actually quite a few gameplay differences as well, and between either of them and Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts.

This game is amazingly hard but, unlike the NES version, it at least gives you the courtesy of getting your armour back as spares come out of thin air.

Hard ? Maybe THAT'S wy I never saw anybody win it in the arcade, even with a bug that granted 100 game lives at a certain point under certain conditions.

Anyway, I want to thank YouTube for showing me the game play for oh so many games that I never was able to win. I was NEVER able to get through level 2 of MARIO BROTHERS. Only one game life left then - and the gameust didn't give me a  chance !

@EATSFALCONPUNCH mame usually takes in coins by pressing 6, and the directional pad and either CTRL, ALT, A, S, D, or W, is default as the control geometry, or screw it and get a gaming controller for your computer.

@cinator77 Hell yeah but only the arcade version. The nes version is a frustrating mess. They got it perfect with the Quarter Muncher.
