... The toothpick BS came about as a thin and insubstantial blob of apologetics trying to rationalise the beating of women. UJames cannot tell the difference between a miswak (a tooth-stick) and a toothpick. A miswak is supposed to be no thicker than a man's thumb. The stick used to beat women should be no thicker than a man's thumb. The two are supposed to have the same thickness. This has been distorted to be equated to "a toothpick"... He has been corrected and not retracted his crap.

I used to like UJames because he's said some interesting stuff but recently, I've found him to be an enabler, repeating false BS about Islam and Mohammed, in particular saying how Islam's punishment of women was only symbolic because a man was only supposed to hit the woman with a stick no thicker than a toothpick.
