Our second put-put boat prototype. We wanted to test some put-put concepts so we threw together this boat. It's not very pretty, or fast, but it's functional. Next we will try a boiler engine, and then make something a little more aesthetically pleasing.

  • is that your toilet ?

  • @hamsterboy959 no.

    Bathtub.

  • i tryed to make a copper tubing 1 it just wont go i even lit a tray of cerosein and just about burnt the boat down and it still wont go. eny advice would be apreciated

  • Make sure the copper is thin enough diameter. I think 1/8" works best. (I used 1/4") Then make sure that the tubing is completely filled with water when you heat it. It only works by boiling the water inside the tube. If it fills with air, it will stop working.

  • could you tell me how you bent the copper tubing, this would be much appreciated.

  • I wrapped it around a piece of PVC pipe. You have to be careful not to crimp the pipe when you do it.

  • @kaptainkcg excuse him , he is french.they use it for the same purpose over there

  • @kaptainkcg Oh, Really, was that yur toilet (Swear to GOD!)

  • I wonder if this kind of concept could be used for a micro water pump.. Perhaps for a desktop-sized fountain

  • fill it with sand, then bend it. it wont kink

  • what size is the copper pipe

  • @kaptainkcg That is why you put salt in the tube and bend the ends then bend it how u want it so it doesnt crimp the pipe then just cut ur ends of and dump the salt!

  • @kaptainkcg You can fill the tube with sand (taping the ends off) before bending to stop it from creasing.
