The introduction was false, Nkrumah did not led the West African states to independence. Nkrumah said Azikiwe discovered him when he arrived Accra after his educational sojourn in the United states and advised him to acquire western education and he obeyed him and went to all the schools Zik had studied earlier and afterwards decided to add additional degree to it on economics at the London of which Zik did not. The struggle for African liberation was not championed by him, but rather by Azikiwe

Don't hide your hands you devils who make life hard for Nkrumah and I mean the slave masters who have a hand in distraction of Africa

@PanAfricanist1 many people contributed intellectually and organizationally to the independence struggle. But nobody can rival what Dr. Nkrumah did.

Liked footage.
Africa needs more "dictators" like President Nkrumah. One Unified Socialist Africa!

@sayes2money I couldn't agree with you more! There's been no single figure in modern African history that has impacted the future and discourse of Africa than Nkrumah. In fact, Ghanaian independence served as an aid to the African American strugle of equality.

Doctor Kwame Nkrumah is one of our great African sons that brought a new life amongst Africans throughout.
Nkrumah was the one who made sure Africans were the voices of our own causes and nobody decises for us.
Nkrumah wasn't about any shade deals, because the man is one of our great leaders of our times and he will continue to do so forever and ever.
please get ur mind right.. he didn't lead only west Africa to freedom. he lead the entire African Continent to freedom.

@sayes2money - I think you mean "his example" led West Africa to independence, and encouraged the various African colonies at the time.
I think claiming he led the entire continent to freedom is not factually incorrect, but his example from the 1950s was inspiring to other African independence movements. Really, his mandate and responsibility was always to Ghana & it's citizens, with exception for his brief term as Chairman of the OAU.

@fiifi9va - Yes, this was a good little five minute overview from The History Channel....I take you have seen my other posts, as I have taken all the excerpts from the BBC's series "People's Century", as they did an episode called "Freedom Now", and Ghana/K. Nkrumah featured heavily in that.....
Shortly, I will be posting footage of K.A. Busia, and a very short clip of General I.K. Acheampong........
