  • These things freak me right out...

  • This video brought to you by BP, who is happy to remind you 'Hey, Fuck the Ocean."®

  • holy crap.. what do you call him? (i suggest the name " Larry the Baby Eater")

  • I had an 18 inch long one in my 25 gallon reef tank. It was picking off shrimp, crabs, snails and a firefish. Major predators, but I got rid of that one. Now, I have a 9 inch one in there which I'm having problems catching. Any suggestions?

  • beautiful creature.... where did you find it?

  • No... you are right... This is accurate info.. and a good reason to NOT do what I did. I have had multiple stinks from similar creatures and never had a problem with numbness... Nonetheless, and after your last comment, I will say handling this animal without proper care is "dangerous", and should not be attempted in such a way. Again thank you for the post, this time was an informative one.

  • No I know it can't take your hand but there is a possibility that the thistles on the back can cause permanent numbness. Although this is information I found out from various websites as I haven't come in contact with the worm my self, so it may be true and may be false.

  • neither.... If you know what you are graving and you know the consequences of your actions so it is an educated doing. Also, apparently you do not know what the worm can and cannot do. Taking your hand is not something they can do... a little skin irritation and maybe a bite yes....

    Thank you fot the post!

  • Well sir I don't know whether to call this Bravery or stupidity... which ever it is.. at least you still have your hand.

  • haha! yeah... It was not the safest way to handle it. That being said I was fully aware of what I was grabbing. loo!
