Moody Blues - Oh Susannah (live)

Moodies performed 'Oh Susannah' during one of their early 1970's concerts. I've only heard one version circulated, so I think it was a one-time concert occurrence.

This is Day 5 of learning to use Windows XP movie maker, and I decided to try some tight editing. I wanted to 'liven up' the still pictures with cutting rather than video animations, and did a very fast edit on the final drumbeat to get the last photo to "pop". I did this by inserting a B&W version of the same picture a split second before the color one. It's the last image in the show before the final credit.

add mellotron, add original distinctive sound! Some have said that the Moodys were never the same after Mike Pinder left the band. Listening to this clip strongly supports that assertion.

Of course they've never been the same - with Mike, an important part of the band's soul was lost; he was the one who created the "deepest" songs of them all; but I guess you would have had to "be along for the journey" to fully appreciate that.

According to info on Moody Sojourn ( wonderful Moodies fan site ,who also has this song on it) the Moodies warmed up with Oh Susannah when they had band practice.
