Hey mate, could you please tell me the exact text i've to fill in in the 'hosts'-file?
did just download Adobe After Effects CS5 and dealing with the hosts-problem now
but i fucked up quite hard, after i did the ipconfig/flushdns thingy my browser started showing several errors

every time I try (do exactly what you do) to edit the host files by copying the hosts to desctop and then change what I want when saving it creates a new wordpad file instead of changing the origina...(same thing happens with notepad..

@MIke1SB I don't know what is happening. The only thing I can suggest is to run word pad with Admin permissions. (Right click> Run as Admin)
Then go to File>Open, and open the hosts file for editing, and saving.
