I was working in a record and tape store when this album came out. I noticed a sticker on the cover overwrap that quoted Phil Collins' recommendation. Based solely on that I bought what would become one of my top ten favorite albums of all time. Long live The Blue Nile!

Great song, great Voice. I miss Paul and the Blue Nile, what are they doing?..I will Never forget the 1st time I listened by chance to "Tinseltown in The Rain" and me and my friend fell in love with them (some of us also fell in love with each other) , and danced to that song, on a ferry boat taking' us from Napoli to Sardinia all night long...elio

I get choked up just hearing this. Remember how listening to this as a kid set you apart from all the other loud and spotty youth? You felt... deeper, more sophisticated, sadder than anyone else.
