I know I have talked about this way of presenting your work before but wanted to update it with a recent book I produced myself. A few months ago I photographed Matisyahu in Philadelphia and captured some amazing images that I wanted to share in a physical form. In the past I had created 50 page books which gave me a nice selection of photos but now I had so many good images that I wanted in one book. It turns out the AdoramaPix now offers a 72 page book in the 12x9 size that I like using.

I find this to be a great way to show someone your book of work, even better than the Ipad. Sure I would still load my images onto the Ipad for when you don't have the books with you but nothing will make as much as an impact as a printed hard back book.

Take a look at the video below to see the book that was created.

  • @bimse111 staples.

  • do you check "apply photo correction"?

  • @dcleve11 no i dont.

  • What a great idea... you mentioned that the 9x12 is suited shots taken with FX cameras, what would be the ideal size for nikon DX bodies?

  • @xGIBROx its the same.

  • I thought I head a fart o.o

  • i've learned quite a lot from your videos but it's a mistake to buy a book to display your work. Having the ability to swap out photos and keep your portfolio updated without having to buy an entirely new book every time is crucial. It almost seems as if Adorama is paying you to endorse their product. Once again, I enjoy the videos you have made but this is simply an advertisement for Adorama.

  • @AxCYeR

I love to hate it :)

  • I'd like to see you do an in depth instructional video on how to do wedding photos

  • Thank you for your excellent idea! I've been asked recently to create a portfolio for a client who is a dancer and this book idea is alot cleaner and more professional looking than just the plastic sleeved book for her to present in an interview. This will also save me and the client alot of time and money!!

  • Adorama is giving me a 14 page book i can fill for free!

  • these books are frikkin cool....thanks Jared

  • @raneshraj209 dx is 2x3 ratio. i think any page with 2x3 ratio should fit a full print.

  • wat size book would i need if im shooting on a dx body. i found it a bit difficult to have the whole image on one page and i end up having to cut off the sides of the pics.its pretty annoying.if anyone has any ideas that would be great.

  • @JaredPolin What is the reAson behind using lab prints over Adoramapix's software? Quality? Personal preference? Different options?
