  • Oh Hell No! diss Doctor Who and there will be troble if i ever see that guy hes in troble!

  • WOW, these people really are stupid. It is obvious to anyone with half a brain cell that he was being facetious when he said obscure. Hell, I could smell the sarcasm from here. But then again, I suppose my expecting any shred of intelligence from youtubers is almost as sad as these losers are showing themselves to be. I'll never make that misjudgement again.

  • @Draconicqueen He means obscure in the sense that it's a show that has more of a cult following than one that kicks the Nielsen rating's butt. Back in the day, when I'd ask people if they watched Doctor Who, they'd either say "Doctor what?" or laugh at the thought of it. That doesn't mean it wasn't a great show. In fact, that made it even more special. Longevity doesn't negate obscurity. Ask 50 random people today to summarize any Troughton/Pertwee episode and you'll see Auton faces.

  • @FamilyOfMan1975 I knew/know tons of people who didn't/don't know Doctor Who. I loved the classic series and still do. Still, there were only a handful of people at my school back in the day who watched it enough to have conversations about it. The new show's a totally different bag and has legions of female fans. The old show was loved mostly by proud male dorks. I know. I was one of them! Blakes 7, Veronica Mars, too, are great "obscure" shows meaning they have devoted cult followings!

  • Luke Wilson is ace...screw all of you that have bad shit to say...i dont time for you.

  • @aionzeta Actually, you're right. I hadn't thought of that! It's been around since 1963, and Star Wars first came out in.... what, 1977? And then Star Trek was 1966. So Doctor Who does beat them both! There's absolutely NO way that's obscure.

  • Luke is a bloody twit. Doctor Who predates Star Trek and Star Wars yet calls it obscure?

  • wow. I actually laughed. And I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who. From the way he's speaking, I think he knows that it's actually really popular, hence playing off of 'obscure'

  • Umm, in America back then, it kinda was pretty obscure...

  • It's funny to me how people are overreacting to his comment, which was intended to be sarcastic. If you were familiar with his work, then you'd see that he has a very dry sense of humour. And to the people asking for his death; grow up, it's a TV programme.
