Camstudio 1280 x 720, H.264 codec, perfect quality for HD Youtube, 2meg per minute.

This video shows you how to get a great quality HD screen capture using the free CamStudio.
I have tried many options, and this gives the best result so long as it is viewed in its native resolution.

BTW I'm not proporting to be some guru. Just a guy who likes to tinker and experiment :)

BTW this video was aimed at a group I belong to. That might make the end of the video make more sense.

cant get ffdshow to display in the options of camstudio

@bajatmerc This is a known issue with the latest version of Camstudio. Use the older version. Trust me the newer version isnt any better.

Would this work with just ffdshow and not ffdshow tryouts? I have ffdshow installed already.

@UtubeHyperboleGuy Yes I imagine so. This video I made is a little old now and many things have changed. I see that many codecs have been dropped from the ffdshow packs, including h.264.

I think they have done this for legal reasons. I'm not sure.

I still say that h.264 gives the best results.

I record full screen so that people can view everything that is happening. I'm not a fan of the screen moving with the mouse, its very distracting. Is this what you meant?
