This message simply means that we, as teachers, need to change our attitude towards education. No teaching is taking place and students aren't being given the opportunities to learn or being challenged to learn.

First, the John Lennon song really put emphasis on this message of how much time students are given to learn. It's shocking to see how much activities students are given through out the whole eight hours they are in school that have not been used for anything educational.
