Black Book trailer

Filmmaker Paul Verhoeven returned to the Netherlands after more than twenty years of success in Hollywood to direct this epic-scale war drama based on a true story. Rachel Steinn (Carice van Houten) is a beautiful Jewish woman living in Holland during the early days of World War II. When Axis forces take control of Holland, Rachel's family are killed in a bombing raid while most of the city's Jews are rounded up and sent to Nazi death camps. Rachel manages to narrowly avoid capture, and joins the local resistance movement. With her hair dyed blonde, Rachel can easily pass for a gentile, and when the leader of the Dutch resistance movement learns his son has been captured by Axis forces, Rachel is asked to use her feminine charms to persuade a German commander to arrange for the boy's release. Rachel soon finds herself caught up in a dangerous double life as she becomes a sexual plaything for the Nazis while attempting to bring down their evil empire as a spy.

Dutch should make more films

I have never seen such a crappy trailer for such a good film. T.T

This trailer makes it look like some made-for-tv movie you watch when nothing else is on on a Tuesday evening! Someone already mentioned it, but the Dutch trailer - 'zwartboek trailer'- really IS much better (and even if you won't be able to understand what they're saying, you'll get a much better feel of the film).

amazing movie , i just finished watching it now ,i just wanted to say at the end she is in Israel remembering all atrocities that happened to her , but instead of ending what she seems to say ( will it never ends !) the Jewish are doing the same shit to the Palestinians forgetting the memories of their owns who suffered if those Jewish who died could talk they would say to the Jewish in isreal pls stoop and run away before it's late u are doing same what it has been done to us by nazis

Not at all subtle -- no real character development -- the last film I had watched before this one was "The Lives of Others," which is one of the finest films I have ever seen. Maybe that's why I hated this one so much. Too much of a contrast.

I was extremely disappointed in this movie, which I only saw recently (October 2011). Lots of action, lots of tits, a bucket of shit dumped on the heroine ... sorry if that's considered "spoilers"!
