Day Without A Gay: Riverside Response

The gay marriage protests have run their courses, the town hall meetings are ongoing, and people are looking for the next step.

Causecast and Actual Action invite you to participate in RIVERSIDE RESPONSE, to coincide with the Day without a Gay on December 10th, 2008.

Well be coordinating a community service project in Riverside, CA, an area that voted in favor of Proposition 8, and not for marriage equality. We hope to introduce ourselves through a day of community service, putting faces to the issue at hand.

I find it funny that both California senators, as well as most of the representatives, were against Prop 8, and yet it still passed. If they had been the ones to vote on it, it wouldn't have gone through. Oh well. Hopefully Obama will do something about it on a full-scale federal level.

With Lutheran's accepting gay bishops, I can see where you are coming from.

There are qualifications for bishop and being gay is not one of them, unless you are using whiteout.

Sodom and Gomorrah had NOTHING to do with homosexuality. People like you have distorted it to support hatred for centuries. It was about inhospitality to strangers which is something you probably do not want to face. lol-I wouldn't say bigots, but my dad was a Lutheran Minister. It was a long, beautiful journey for my whole family but we now all see my sexuality as a true gift from God because we learned so much about Love through it all.
