Романов До свидания
(The Romanov's Goodbye)

Music video using film footage from 'Nicholas & Alexandra' from the following Romanov website: http://www.frozentears.org

Shows the last few hours of the last Russian Imperial Family before their murder by firing squad at Ipatiev House, with flashbacks to a more happier and naïve time.

The video was inspired by the song 'Russia', written and performed by Yulia. I have no idea what the lyrics are but the music was so beautiful and it has for me a mournful and haunting quality about it.

My Cyrillic is a little rusty and my thanks must go to: http://translation2.paralink.com

Please note: I will not send the MP3 of Yulia's song out - please use the links to her website...seriously people, no point asking me when a) it proves you have not read this and b) I'm not going to!

  • Well, Lenin was not a very peaceful man; neither was his successor, Stalin. Both people were responsible for the death of millions of Russians during the period before world war II. Conclusion: The Romanov exploited the Russian people, true, but Lenin and Stalin were actually the"red" tsars of Russia in those days. Besides that, it's sad to kill the young four girls en and the boy. No matter what your convinction is, it still is an atrocity

  • I love their history..

  • I too

    It's so sad :(

  • This video is really impressive and cruel simultaneously. Really I feel a lot of grief for this family. This video draws tears from me. But the video is very good.

  • I´m learning russian now..so this song is very important to me

  • George V had to think of his own position.

  • The British did help, thats why they were sent to the basement as they were scared if the whites would regain the Tsar, thinks could go back to normal

  • im pretty sure only one or two died instantly. the chief executioner's own account has him having to shoot alexei again after the initial firing.

  • It was an execution, not murder.
