Epica: Orchestra rehearsal

Epica will be performing a classical show with symphonic orchestra and choir in the Miskolc International Opera Festival (Hungary) on 14. June 2008..
The extended Remenyi Ede Chamber Orchestra has been preparing for the Epica classical show. It was their first rehearsal. This video was released by Borsod Online first.

Zsófia Nagy, phrase leader:

"We have started the rehearshals for the Epica concert, that's gonna be on 14 June in the Ice Hall. The whole process is easier for us than it was last year - we had absolutely no idea what's it will be like playing with Therion. Now we have a clue what to expect from a show like this, what is it difficult, what is easy... We are most curious about the rewritten classical songs, the ones in Epica's style. Playing the band's own songs is somewhat easier than doing "regular" classical music, because the notes are easier, and the segments that repeat themselves. We are very excited about this event, many classical musicians from town are coming to us asking "Can we come and play?". But the number of musicians is set, so sadly not everyone can contribute. We hope that this event with classical music and rock on the same stage will turn out to be at least as succesful than in last year."
