this is one of the few things in life I can thank mum for, a love of Victoria Wood, well that and Bill Bryson, but as a fellow northern female, she does us pround and if I am even 100th as funny as her at times I will be a very happy person indeed

Its true, most of the comedians are from the north of england or scotland! and it is also true its because we say it like it is and are very flat. I'm from blackpool and the majority of my family are northern, except one set of cousins who are from london and our humour is completely different, you could almost describe northerners as having "dry" sense of humour because we tend to be very sort of monotoned when we speak, but still very funny! LONG LIVE NORTHERN HUMOUR!

my teacher went to bury grammar school, which is the same school that this woman went to as a child and has always said how this woman made all their lives a living hell.

Well I used to be a big fan, but met her in real life a couple times (through my work) and was sooo disappointed. She is quite abrupt and very rude.

modest, gentle, open, attractive, funny and unique. Im 20, female, I live in the midlands, my aunty and cousin are from yorkshire and I still love Victoria Wood and always will. PLEASE COME BACK FOR 2011! you make me laugh.alot. Lots of love!! ;)

@Hydermard You can either watch adverts, or you can pay for the privilege of watching thousands upon thousands of hours of videos and entertainment. The internet has always been about advertising and always will be as long as it is a free service (and I'm talking about visiting websites being free, you do of course have to pay your ISP to connect to the internet in the first place).
I prefer annoying adverts over website subscription fees, myself.

Look at what the North of England and Scotland has given us in the way of comedians and music. I love the North, and Scotland.
