WHAT A LIE ! You do not opt out fo the NHS when you have private healthcare. This a bullshit of the highest order. Sorry, for the language but a lie is a lie. b What you get in the private healthcare system is the same as the NHS system, just quicker and a TV,,,wow. I love th efatc that they need to lie to promote a broken system. Easies tproof the nHS is liked, ..find a party willing to scrap it?! Then see how it does in elections.

NOT TRUE.
In the UK, there are a number of private medical insurance companies - just Google 'Bupa' or 'Harley Street.'
Of course, few use them, but the competition is undoubtedly there!
I love the NHS.

This "report" is full of lies: I thought CNN tried to be unbiased? It sounds more like Fox News here.
You do NOT "have to opt-out" of the NHS if you want private health care - in fact, you CAN'T opt-out of the NHS - the NHS is funded by taxation - try "opting out" of paying your taxes and see how far you get!
Total drivel from start to finish. I begin to see why so many Americans have little understanding of what happens in the world when even their more trustworthy news is so biased.

Your welcome I don't attack just to attack, which is what the Far Left and Right do. Try to destroy the other side, instead of beating them with their ideas. And I'm glad to here Britain doesn't have a Healthcare Monopoly. Which just back ups my point about Socialize Healthcare.

@FRSFreeStateES The NHS doesn't have a monopoly, we can get things done privately if we want :) I had an operation the very day after I visited the doctors with a cyst, because they thought it could have been cancerous. I didn't pay a penny and I had fantastic treatment. But there is a private hospital directly next door which I could have opted to use. In a way the NHS is keeping that hospital on its toes. The NHS isn't perfect but I love it. Thanks for not slating it ignorantly like others do.

I think UK could easily double the government foundation and so it would be really better, and they would barely spend as much money as the USA.
I found it funny when the facts went completely against the tone of the report.

I think the main problem with the NHS is that it's underfunded. Despite offering universal coverage, we spend less on health than other countries. Perhaps if we could match the spending of other European countries, then we'd be able to afford top treatment for serious illnesses such as cancer.
